The German machine builder and manufacturer of profile and linear systems, MiniTec Maschinenbau GmbH & Co.KG, took over the Spanish company Profi-Team S.A. with its headquarters in Madrid on March 1, 2008. The company will in future do business under the name MiniTec España S.L. Alcalá de Henares, Madrid. The brand Profi team for the products will remain. The portfolio in the field of conveying technology perfectly complements the MiniTec product range. The long-standing sales contacts of the Profi team in Europe and South America are intended to lend wings to the MiniTec sales in these markets.

Waldmohr/Madrid, March 2008 – International expansion plays an essential important role next to the important German market for the manufacturer MiniTec from Palatinate. In the past years, the expansion plans already clearly came to fruition. This is why production locations in France, USA, Great Britain, Slovakia and Slovenia have been opened in addition to the expansion of the world-wide sales network with partner companies in 25 countries. Now, having acquired Profi-Team S.A. the international markets in Europe and South America come into focus Traditionally, the Spanish manufacturer has good contacts in these regions and was able to achieve remarkable sales figures in the past. “This takeover enables us penetrate new markets and to expand our business in existing sales markets, above all in South America, without having to create new structures”, MiniTec Managing Director and Founder Bernhard L. Bauer explains.

The company, founded in 1993, with its headquarters in Madrid, employs today a workforce of 65 at two locations in Spain. Profi-Team S.A has customers mainly in the branches of the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, manufacture of electrical and household appliances and the pharmaceutical and food industry.
